The school of Kham already has 325 pupils and KARUNA DANA is helping them to get an education. Nonetheless, another 400 school age children every day face a huge barrier preventing them from going to class: DISTANCE.
Living in an agricultural areas, most of these children have to spend two-three hours daily in commuting. In winter, ice and snow make it very difficult for them. This is why KARUNA DANA has implemented a project to build a boarding school so that Kham can overcome its high rate of non-schooling
